MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING

CITY COMMISSION-CITY HALL

January 25, 2001

6:30 p.m.

 Mayor Ray called the Public Hearing to order.

 Comm. Jones made the motion to close the Public Hearing, seconded by Comm. White, voted unanimous.

 Mayor Ray closed the Public Hearing.

 Mayor Ray then opened the Special Meeting.

City Mgr. Lay gave the Commission a copy of the Ordinance to adopt using a flex rate system on Natural Gas.  He explained to the Commission how he arrived at the rate the City would have to charge to break even on the gas bill.

Comm. Jones made the motion to adopt the Ordinance on flex rate system seconded by Vice-Mayor Creasy, voted unanimous.

There being no further business to come before the Commission the motion was made by Comm. Jones to adjourn and seconded by Comm. White.  Said meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
