The Waynesboro Police Department (WPD) is looking for qualified and committed individuals interested in a professional Law Enforcement career.

 Applicant must be either a certified Tennessee Peace Officer and/or capable of successfully completing a Certified Tennessee Law Enforcement Academy


  • This position receives full City benefits (Medical, Dental, Vacation, Paid Holidays, ect.)
  • Uniforms, equipment, and weapons are provided.
  • All new employees are subject to a one (1) year probationary period.

    Applicants must successfully complete the following to be considered for employment:

     

    • Written Test
    • Oral Interview Board
    • Background Investigation
    • Physical, Psychological, and Drug Screen
    • Possess a valid Drivers License
    • High School Diploma / Equivalent
