  Thank you for inquiring about obtaining a Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit.  The Waynesboro Police Department is certified to instruct the safety course required by the State of Tennessee in order to obtain a handgun carry permit.  A

   All proceeds go to benefit our annual "Cops for Kids" Christmas Program and to further develop our firing range.

     This course consists of a (4) hour classroom session and a firing range qualification and safety session for a total of (8) hours.  There is a written and practical exam also involved.
