The City of Waynesboro was established in 1821 and serves as the county seat for Wayne County, Tennessee.  Waynesboro is located at the junction of State Route 13 and U.S. Route 64.  Waynesboro is located 105 miles south from Nashville, and 135 east miles from Memphis.

   CITY ELECTION RESULTS

     The City of Waynesboro held it's City Election Tuesday February 2nd, 2010 for three commission seats.  The top three vote receiving candidates were Incumbent Jeff Howell, Former Mayor Robert Vencion and Incumbent Dan Creasy.  The winners will be sworn in to take their office on Monday February 8th, 2010.  During the commission meeting all five City Commissioners will vote to appoint the Mayor and Vice-Mayor as part of their new business.
